SUMMARY:ALS AGM Weekend
DESCRIPTION:The Alliance of Literary Societies has its AGM weekend in April (the same weekend as our own AGM on 22 April\, unfortunately). The Gaskell Society is a member of the ALS\, and as such\, our members are invited to the event. \nHosted by the Charlotte M. Yonge Fellowship\,  the 2023 AGM/ALS Weekend runs from April 21st – April 23rd in Winchester (Hants)\, with additional online access. \nThe programme kicks off on Friday evening with an informal supper and entertainment ‘Literary Ladies’ by Cecily O’Neill. The Saturday Conference is from 10am to 5pm at St Swithun’s School\, to include the ALS AGM at 1.45pm and features a number of talks\, a buffet lunch and the chance to network with fellow Societies. At 5.30pm there is a visit to the Hampshire Archives to see a Charlotte M. Yonge display followed by dinner in the grounds of Winchester Cathedral. At noon on Sunday there is a guided walk round Charlotte Yong’s Winchester. \nTo download the full programme and registration documents\, click HERE .
