Postponed from last month
A change, this month: we leave the printed copy of novel behind and look at the BBC adaptation of North and South .
Libby Tempest will lead a discussion on what we think of the adaptation, how it came to be made, issues that arose, and how close to the novel it is. We look at the various changes that were made, and what we think of the main characters and actors. We may have a look at some excerpts from the adaptation
Prior to the discussion there will be the usual delicious buffet lunch served at 12.30 pm. The discussion will begin at 2pm. and finish at 3pm. Doors open at 12pm..
Charges: Members: £9 incl lunch Discussion only: £3
