On retiring to the North-West, where he had grown up, he found Elizabeth Gaskell’s House on the point of opening, and became a Trustee. He has served two terms on the committee of the Gaskell Society, and (in accordance with the rules) steps down at this year’s AGM.

The AGM is free to all members to attend. This year there will be no charge for The Daphne Carrick Memorial Lecture, so please come along to Cross St Chapel or attend on Zoom.
