What was life life for a wealthy family in the Georgian period? Samuel and Hannah Greg were amongst the Manchester elite at the time, but when they tired of urban life they decided to build a home in the countryside, with all the trials and tribulations of an episode of Grand Designs.
The Gregs owned Quarry Bank Mill, which is now a National Trust property in Styal.
