The Alliance of Literary Societies AGM Weekend, Bowness

The Gaskell Society is a member of the Alliance of Literary Societies (ALS), so our members are most welcome to attend the Alliance’s Gathering and AGM. This year, it’s hosted by the Arthur Ransome Society, so it’s in a wonderful setting!

Friday 17 May – Two course dinner at the Old England Hotel, 23 Church Street, Bowness-on-Windermere LA23 3DF
Saturday 18 May – The ALS AGM and conference will be at Windermere Jetty Museum, Rayrigg Road, Bowness-on-Windermere LA23 1BN. Followed by an optional three-course dinner at The Boathouse, Windermere Marina Village, Bowness LA23 3JQ.
Sunday 17 May – There are a variety of options for Sunday. All of these are to book yourself. They are centred around Coniston, a thirty-minute drive from Bowness.
